Helping People, Charities and Good Causes while Having Fun

Many Club activities support young people of all ages who live in and around Thornbury, often in co-operation with schools, clubs or voluntary groups.

We have taken great pleasure from funding and supporting "Kids Out" which provides disadvantaged and special needs chidren with much-needed breaks from routine.

With the co-operation of local schools, clubs and organisations, we organise competitions for young people of all ages, including musicians, chefs, engineers and public speaking. Our "Young Golfer" event, in partnership the Tnornbury Golf Centre, attracts talented young competitors from a wide area.

Our annual "Swimarathon" annually combines fun, exercise and competition to add to the £600,00o raised (and donated) to date. We also take side-shows to local events and serve mulled wine and mince pies in the festive season.

We are will assist the fund-raising events of local charities and good causes with our Human Fruit Machine and direct funding where needed, and to assist with stewarding.
